Health o meter Professional is currently seeking a Quality Engineer.

Essential functions of the position will include:

  • Communications with quality inspectors at overseas factories
  • In house quality inspections
  • Reviewing quality issues
  • Working with sales & customer service on quality issues
  • Manage supplier relations as it relates to supplier quality
  • Testing and validation
  • ISO and other regulatory

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • ISO and regulatory experience is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years quality engineer experience
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Travel up to 10%
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

Job Opening – French Speaking Quality Engineer

We are currently in search for someone from a manufacturing background who is fluent in French and English. It would be a plus if this person has a Quality Engineer background, but I would be interested in talking with anyone out of manufacturing. Our client is in a contract with a company who recently attained a large account with the French government and this person would serve as a liaison between the US company and the French government. I know you are busy, and I appreciate any recommendations you would have to send my way.

Position Overview

The quality engineer will be responsible for supporting production activities and the company quality management system. In this role, the quality engineer supports quality technicians and other stakeholders to exceed company goals with regard to quality.

  • Will identify, develop and establish methods to improve product and process quality.
  • Will be responsible for managing corrective actions projects.
  • Will work with suppliers to resolve quality related issues.
  • Will train company personnel on the company quality management system and process.
  • Will write and edit company procedures, work instructions, and forms.
  • Will design, set-up and assist with testing and validation procedures.

Candidate Requirements

  • More than 3 years quality assurance/control experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred but not required.
  • ASQ CQE certificiation is preferred..
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards or experience working in an ISO 9001 environment is required.
  • The ideal candidate will be a highly cooperative team player with excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Strong Root Cause Analysis knowledge is required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Quality Engineer



Lead internal and external quality issue investigations including root cause analysis, problem solving, solution implementation and follow-up.  Provide technical leadership to drive the creation and implementation of advanced quality processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

·       Develop, implement and maintain equipment, policies, metrics, reports, procedures, processes, work instructions, and forms to ensure product is manufactured in accordance with safety, customer, regulatory and business requirements.

·       Guide timely problem identification, resolution and continuous improvement.  Expand and drive CAPA system utilizing trend and root cause analysis tools; report adverse trends quickly.  Decisions must balance customer satisfaction, vendor capabilities and production requirements.

·       Assist Quality manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.  Create and maintain quality system documentation.

·       Facilitate activities and data review during mold qualifications and process capability analysis per specific customer requirements.

·        Support daily quality assurance activities.

·        Conduct audits, generate findings report, determine proper CAPA activities and resolve findings.

·        Interact with customers, suppliers and all levels of the company to resolve quality issues.

·        Other duties assigned.

Job Requirements

·       Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred or relevant experience.

·       Experience as a Quality Engineer in an injection molding manufacturing company or relevant experience.

·       Excellent communication skills.  Communicates effectively with customers, vendors and teammates at all levels of the organization with good interpersonal and organizational abilities.  Competent with Microsoft Office software.

·       Strong root cause analysis and analytical problem-solving skills with good decision making ability.  Mechanical aptitude.  Can lead problem-solving efforts and the implementation of solutions.

·       Strong sense of urgency and dedication to pursuing operational excellence.

·       Thorough understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques.

·       Strong working knowledge of SPC techniques.

·       Good knowledge of ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 quality systems.

·       Familiarity with measuring equipment and devices.

·       Certified Internal Auditor and CQE Certification.
