“The Risk Dashboard – A Tool For Turning Management Review Into A Risk Management Process”
This presentation will introduce a new twist to an old concept – a metrics dashboard adapted to process risk monitoring. This tool can shift management review discussions away from past performance and toward business strategies in full alignment with the new requirements coming from ISO 9001.

“An Orientation Into ISO 9001:2015”
This presentation will focus on the changes coming to the ISO 9001 standard in September 2015. While the presentation will address only 9001, the changes are based upon ISO Annex SL which is also being used to direct the changes to 14001, 18001 and other management system standards. Highlights of the changes, some simple implementation strategies, and the timeline for implementation will be reviewed. As an added incentive, the first 60 registrants will be emailed a copy of the official ISO Correlation Matrix which maps the requirements from 9001:2008 to the draft ISO 9001:2015, a limited amount of printed copies will be made available at the meeting.

Supplier Development Manager

Position Summary

The Supplier Development Manager is responsible for managing the supply base through direct reports to ensure the suppliers are in compliance to PSI’s Supplier Quality Policy and requirements. 

 

Essential Duties &

Responsibilities

 

 

 

·  Oversee the Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) and audit program with the supply base. 

·  Communicate and work cooperatively with customers and suppliers to ensure products and services exceed customer expectations.

·  Lead external audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audit finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventative actions.

·  Facilitate disciplined problem solving (i.e. Global 8D) with suppliers and direct reports on all quality issues.  Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventative actions.

·  Responsible for supplier continual improvement activities to drive down PPM.

·  Initiate debits with suppliers.

·  Maintain and communicate supplier scorecard.

Requirements

 

Education and/or Experience

·     Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Engineering or a related field. 

·     Minimum 10 years experience working in a quality assurance function with OEM and automotive suppliers utilizing the AIAG core requirements: PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.

·     Thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) required.

·     Background in supplier development/management and experience working with or for a tier automotive supplier.

·     ISO and/or auditor experience.

·     SSGB or SSBB certification preferred.

·     ASQ CQE, CQM, or CQA preferred.

·     Problem solving experience utilizing Global 8D, Six Sigma, etc.

Position Overview

  • Quality engineer will implement a quality system to prevent defects while providing information leading to continuous improvement. 
  • Will work to provide direction for quality technicians and process auditors.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of quality assurance procedures and policies in similar manufacturing settings.
  • Will apply Advanced Quality Planning techniques such as Failure Mode Effects Analysis, measurement system analysis and control plans to evaluate the produce-ability of new products.
  • Uses statistical data to identify and resolve problems and while working with teams to focus on prevention and variance reduction.
  • Work with customers to identify process and product improvement opportunities and to permanently resolve problems.
  • Lead customer audits and participate in self-audits to identify opportunities for quality system enhancement.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 3 years of related quality oriented experience in an automotive, electronics, or electromechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial or related engineering discipline.
  • Quality Engineering certification is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer
