We are currently searching for a Quality Auditor for our plant which has bulk manufacturing, blending, conveyor, filling, labeling, and packaging processes.  The Quality Auditor is responsible for coordinating, maintaining, and controlling Quality Management Systems, responding to customers’ requests for information and documentation, and coordinating and performing quality audits.

Major responsibilities are as follows:

·     Create, maintain, approve and revise quality documents and specifications in document management system.

·       Interact with various departments, communicate non-conformances, and recommend changes and improvements in policies, procedures, and processes.

·       Interface with customers and vendors and respond to requests for documentation including  GMO & non-GMO statements, allergen statements, country of origin statements, shelf life, continuing guarantee, gluten statement, finished product spec, SDS and others.

·       Complete customers’ and vendors’ questionnaires and surveys and investigate complaints.

·       File for Kosher and Halal certification per customers’ request.

·       Gather documents required for internal and external audits.

·       Conduct Vendor, Co-Manufacturer and Internal Audits and maintain supporting documentation.

·       Participate in innovative thinking and innovation opportunities as needed.

·       Participate as member of SQF & HACCP Teams.

·       Support SQF systems and report any potential food safety or quality issues to any individual with the authority to take action.

·       Initiate action on any food safety or quality problems reported by employees.

·       Participate in all company training for food safety and plant safety.

·       Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

If you are known as an exceptional employee who produces great work and believes in adding value to everything you do, we want you to join our growing team and share our vision.  The ideal candidate will have 3 – 5 years of related quality experience, preferably within a food manufacturing, food packaging, or FDA environment.  3+ years’ experience maintaining Quality Management Systems and performing quality audits is essential.  Experience interfacing with Rabbi and Kosher Council are required.  Solid technical, documentation, and analytical skills are essential.  Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with people.  Strong Math aptitude and proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.  PowerPoint is a Plus.  Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology is preferred.  ASQ Certification and/or ability to speak Spanish are a plus.  Ability to lift or move 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation is required.

The next Board Meeting, on Wednesday, February 4th, will be at Dave & Busters in Addison, IL. We have the “Skybox” area reserved. It’s the conference Room area on the right-side, before you get to the Game Room. We have the area from 6:00 to 9:00, and plan to order Dinner at 6:30 pm.

We will be ordering off-the-menu. Soft Drinks (soda, pink lemonade, coffee, and hot/cold tea) are included.

Continuous Improvement Manager (Black Belt)

The Continuous Improvement Manager (Black Belt) applies a deep and robust knowledge of Lean Six Sigma skills to deliver sustainable and reliable improvement to the Supplier and Kraft supply chain.

• In partnership with supplier “Category Captains”, participates in end-to-end supply chain assessments. These go from the supplier’s supplier, through supplier primary processing, to and through Kraft plants, out to distribution, and finally to the consumer. The intent is to uncover cost-savings, innovation, inventory / cash flow optimization, simplification of specifications, and improve supply base design. The assessment uses structured L6S methodology while focusing on a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) philosophy that delivers value to both Kraft and the respective supplier.

• The above will require connectivity to “Value Stream Maps” which are underway in Kraft plants.

• Collaborates with suppliers in developing the above assessments into “Business Plans” with dollarized savings targets, timelines, resources, etc.

• Facilitates projects that result from the above assessments and appear in the Business Plan.

• Supports compliance to all Food Safety, Food Defense, and Quality policies across the Kraft organization.

• This role also supports the Business Units by improving existing processes and supports future capabilities to drive reliability and efficiency, and to maximize resource potential.

• Implement common tools and methods to drive quicker, more transparent and data-driven decisions through the use of CI L6S tools and methods.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred

• Black Belt Certification

• Minimum 5 years Statistical Tools Experience (Minitab)

• Minimum 5 years Supply Chain Management /L6S Experience

• Minimum 5 years Business Plan Development Experience

• Minimum 5 years Project Management Experience

• Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)

• Total Cost of Ownership Focus, LEAN Skills, Statistical and Analytical Process Tools/ Value Stream Mapping concepts and software

·        Supplier development, evaluations and re-evaluations.

·        Quality floor support.

·        Provide problem solving using Lean methodology.

·        Develop and maintain quality systems and procedures.

·        Complete required activities for the New Product Implementation process

·        Monitor, track & communicate scrap results.

·        Train all team members on ISO polices/procedures and quality techniques

·        ISO Internal Auditor.

·        Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical field.

5+ years of experience in manufacturing.

Proficient with Excel or Minitab.

Six Sigma training preferred.

Strong statistical skills.

Experience with APQP, PPAP, and PFMEA
