Position:

The Global Quality Manager reports to the VP Global Operations.  This is a global influencer position with no direct reports.  He/She will be responsible for the development of a quality organization globally, implementing a total quality management system to support the global quality system.

 

Qualification Requirements:

 

GGB is seeking candidates with automotive manufacturing experience, specifically Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.  Additional requirements include:

 

       5 -10 years experience as Quality Manager in an industrial/manufacturing environment; a minimum of 5 years experience with multi-site quality responsibility preferred;

       process quality and quality systems experience including TS/ISO (automotive);

       a Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Engineering or related field preferred;

       knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP);

       Professional Quality Certifications preferred;

       Certified in Six Sigma Green Belt or Six Sigma Black Belt preferred;

       knowledge of Change Management Process preferred;

       50-70% travel including international travel.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

The Account Manager develops new clients (inquiries) and serves as the primary business contact. The AM is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization. In addition, the AM will build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.

 

  • Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution and compliance on client deliverables and revenue.

 

  • Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.

 

§   Works closely with and contributes to an international team regarding marketing activities and operations related to client management.  Working with operations generally includes communicating client requirements and reviewing technical details and/or service reports.

 

  • Maintains records of client activity within an internal database.

 

  • Analyzes the market needs, customers’ expectations and competition for his/her customer base and/or region. This includes securing business opportunities and preparing for expansion of our service scope. Ability to offer client-specific service solutions.

 

§  Supports the lead follow-up process in collaboration with regional and cross regional Marketing Managers for all marketing campaigns (i.e. literature fulfillment, follow-up letters, etc.).

 

§  Works closely with accounting to monitor and follow-up regarding client invoices and payments.

 

§  Represents the organization at industry related events, conferences and tradeshows.

 

Education:

Degree in International Business or Marketing and/or solid engineering/manufacturing background

 

Required Job Experience:

Proven experience in sales and marketing within a B2B environment. Experience with various countries and industries and/or quality inspection and auditing a plus.

 

 

Required Abilities:

§   Minimum 3 years related working experience in relation to business development, customer service, sales and marketing. Experience in working with consulting firms, certification bodies, or third party testing and inspection companies is an advantage.

 

  • Good presentation, communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.  Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.

 

§   Ability to increase the existing customer base through the use of well developed marketing and sales programs.

 

§   Ability to analyze sales information.

Global Director of Quality

Global Director of Quality, Risk Management for a worldwide medical products company located in the Chicago area.

 

Position Overview:                     

 

The  Medical Products  Risk Management Operations team is responsible for providing risk-based and statistical product performance data to all monitoring teams. Will oversee the development and deployment of Risk Management and the analytical listening systems.  Systems will collect data and performance measures from complaints, risk management, service centers, and manufacturing facilities. 

Interacts  with teams and departments that spans all of  Medical Products (drugs and devices) such as  R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service Centers.  Must be able to articulate and define the system requirements needed to meet the needs of all the different stakeholders.  Will be required to communicate the strengths and opportunities in various statistical or risk-based approaches.  Will require the need to balance the needs for compliance and ensure any performance monitoring approaches are robust and comprehensive.  Must be able to take conceptual ideas and translate those to systematic process steps which  will be the primary subject matter expert during FDA and other MOH inspections.

 

 

Will develop and implement the data analytics and measurement programs globally.  Will ensure programs and ongoing operational activities are focused around achieving the intent of the company’s  Risk-Based Life Cycle Management process.  Will also ensure measurement systems are established consistently at all manufacturing plants. 

Measurement systems  would include statistical process controls and process capability monitoring.  It may also evolve to systems capability requirements identified in DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) documents.

Will  also look at systems capable of producing reliability data at services centers and gathering that information for Post-Market analysis.

 

Essential Duties and Requirements:

Manages the Risk Management and Data Analytics organizations. Will report to the VP of Product  Quality and will manage a team of  approximately 20 staff members

Must be able to understand principles of Risk Management and  to apply them at a systems level

An understanding of Risk-Based data modeling

Ability  to adequately capture requirements and articulate the vision for presentation to senior management

Must be able to  understand external and internal data listening systems and to leverage those data streams to make decisions on product performance

Ability to influence organizations and management members outside of their direct reporting relationships

 

 

Ability to navigate using multiple quality systems, ie. Complaints, CAPA, Risk Management and Product Performance Monitoring

Ability  to interact with regulators and explain the monitoring systems

Identifies and manages continuous improvement projects that may span multiple sections or departments with the objective of achieving quality, reliability and cost improvements

Responsible for adherence to specifications and procedures that have been established to ensure product quality in area of responsibility

Develops budget for a large programs/department and ensures adherence to the budget

Manages overall coaching, training, development and succession plans of the team. 

Education and Experience:

BS in Science or Engineering (advanced degree a plus) and 10 + years of experience in the  Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Device Industry in Quality involving Risk Management.  Previous direct experience with FDA and/or other  health authorities as it involves the manufacturing of medical products.  Knowledge and experience in risk management and product performance monitoring at a systems level.   Strong leadership and demonstrated success in managing a large team in quality risk management.   Strong analytical and problem solving skills; and communication skills.  Experience working with multifunctional global teams.  Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt is  preferred
