Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) Campaign

volunteerOn behalf of the ASQ Chicago Section, we are truly grateful to all members, their families and guests who participated in our first volunteering event held on December 19, 2015 at the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) organization. Their efforts yielded in the following impressive results:

• Boxes Packed: 128
• Meals: 27,648
• Kids Fed for a Year: 76
• Cost: $6,082.56

FMSC’s organization December shipments were scheduled to be delivered to Haiti, Guatemala, Malawi, Honduras, Uganda, Swaziland and Sierra Leone. Therefore, our ASQ Chicago Section volunteering contribution in packing meals for malnourished children around the world will have a global impact flavor. As Martin Luther King, Jr. stated: “Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give” (Winston Churchill). ASQ Chicago Section is looking forward to upcoming volunteering events of 2016 and we are truly grateful for our member’s compassion and unselfish caring.
