Dr. William LaFollette has over twenty-five years of experience in delivering quality and organizational excellence programs in the health care, automotive, and telecommunications industries. He is an accomplished leader, strategist, public speaker, teacher, and author. Will serves the American Society for Quality (ASQ) in a variety of leadership roles, the Association for Business Process Management Professionals (ABPMP) Board of Directors as V.P. of Education, Southwest Alliance for Excellence (Regional Baldrige program) Board of Directors and the US TAG 279 building education and certification programs, developing professional collaborative teams, leading execution of global quality and innovation initiatives and implementation of global strategic solutions.

Will holds a Doctor of Business Administration, a MS in Quality Management, is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Certified Quality Engineer.

My fellow members, I take it that you are enjoying the summer season. While you continue to enjoy it, please know that your ASQ Chicago section continues to plan an exciting and interesting program for the rest of the year. So, welcome back to our program.

We have a general meeting on August 10th 2016.  Our presenter will share insights into “Driving Organizational Change and Demonstrating Results -utilizing metrics for tracking the effectiveness of organizational change initiatives.” You will also hear from our other presenter on “Lean Hospital success stories” This is no story telling my fellow members. This is reality, lessons from our quality professionals.

Thanks to all of you, we had a good program prior to summer. Our attendance continued to grow. Let’s continue this trend. Please bring along your boss – a coworker, a friend, a family member a neighbor. We all benefit from this. We have at least one member who registers his spouse and bring her to our meetings. That is such a nice way to share time with your spouse or someone you care for. They learn some of what your work involves. Together you get to share time together and enjoy ASQ Chicago Section Company; wow; win win, right.

1c5994cColleen Campbell is the National Change Management and Leadership Practice Leader for Centric Consulting.  She has been engaging global organizations and people in strategic change management and team development conversations for over 25 years.  Her passion is helping leaders engage in strategic and creative change management programs that move the organization forward quickly and effectively.   She received her M.B.A. in Marketing from Michigan State University and studied at the Second City improvisation school.  Colleen has presented at various conferences and workshops speaking on change management, team development and networking.
Keith is a Leadership Advisor with khrusallis, a company dedicated to Lean transformation in healthcare. Currently Keith is working closely with the CEO and leadership team at Franciscan St. James in south suburban Chicago, guiding the entire facility on a journey towards Lean Culture.

3f8adfaKriti Chopra, Validation Engineer, Hospira – A Pfizer Company, has been working for over 5 years in pharmaceutical industry, with specialized interest in Data Integrity Assurance, 21 CFR Part 11 and Computer Systems Validation. Kriti’s work includes establishing standardized approach and requirements for Computer System Validation and Spreadsheet Validation, developing tools for assessing quality systems, identifying risk associated with GxP systems, planning remediation activities, developing global compliance programs and training related to data integrity and security, preparing responses to FDA observations, and supporting data integrity audits.

Since 2014, Kriti has been involved in successfully establishing a Validation Community of Practice (CoP) at Hospira-Pfizer and a Center of Excellence (CoE) for Computer System Validation (CSV), Spreadsheet Validation (SSV) and Data Integrity Compliance. Kriti’s most recent interests include global implementation of data integrity and security controls that are robust, cost-effective and ensure that the usage of computer laboratory systems, manufacturing systems and spreadsheets is compliant with FDA, MHRA and EU requirements. Kriti has a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Michigan State University, a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Northwestern University, is a member of ASQ, PDA, and ISPE.

“Gift of Knowledge Transfer Leveraging Technology”


This presentation will focus on gift   of   knowledge   transfer   leveraging   technology  for creating an Ecosystem for World-Class Quality in India through Leadership Excellence Series (LES). Since December 2013, an effort is underway to share life-long transferable soft skills and quality management  knowledge to professionals/students/faculty/staff at various educational institutions in India. We will explore the use of free Google Hangout On Air for knowledge transfer. Successful case studies of knowledge transfer in non-profits (educational) and for-profits (corporate) domains will be shared. So far over 40 educational institutes with over 130,000 students/faculty/staff/professionals have benefitted from the LES Project. This is one way to contribute time and talent in Nation Building.
