“Getting the Most Out of Six Sigma”
The purpose of any improvement project is to make a significant impact, which is sustained by the normal operational team. The goal is to make such impacts more frequently. In most cases, the Six Sigma projects follow the DMAIC methodology. In this session, the attention would be given to the big picture of being successful with Six Sigma to make a big impact quickly. Key topics covered would include the intent, relative importance of each phase, key team members and focus on tying everything together to sustain the gains.

Arvind Srivastava is Corporate MBB/IE at Accuride Corporation, the manufacturer of Steel and Aluminum wheels and the wheel end products. Prior to joining Accuride, Arvind was Vice President at Accelper Consulting. He has over 20 years of experi¬ence in supply chain and business process improvement. He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
His key skill set includes customer relationship management, teamwork, leadership, communication, process thinking, statistical thinking, bottom-line focus and result orientation. Prior to joining Accelper Consulting, Arvind worked for various multinational companies such as ICI and Siemens.
Arvind contributed significantly in development of the Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Business Innovator Certification programs. He teaches Six Sigma Green Belt and Business Innovation class at IIT. He has also conducted workshops, including Business Innovation at IIT, Six Sigma Green Belt, Business Management System Awareness, Internal Auditing and Root Cause Analysis, for many years.
Arvind is a co-Author of Stat Free Six Sigma Book, a contributing author to The Six Sigma Performance Handbook and Six Sigma for Transactions and Service, both published by McGraw Hill. He has published several papers and has given presentations at many professional conferences.
Arvind is the past chair of ASQ Chicago Section and holds BSME from IIT Roorkee, MSIE from NITIE Mumbai and MBA from Benedictine University, Illinois. Arvind can also be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
