Recognition & Awards

The Chicago Section of the American Society for Quality has established a Recognition & Awards process to recognize members, non-members, and other organizations who have contributed to the advancement of the goals and activities of the Section by their continued exceptional effort and support. We encourage all Chicago Section members to become familiar with the Section’s Recognition & Awards process. A process description documents how to offer candidate nominations and the approval process. The award categories are as follows:

William Lieberman Award (formerly the Founder’s Award): Presented for outstanding contributions to the Section advancement. This constitutes advancement well above the good maintenance of the Section status.

Distinguished Service Award: Presented for dedicated contributions in continuing Section activities and affairs with a high degree of effectiveness.

Meritorious Service Award: Presented for consistent and continuing contributions and/or support to Section activities and affairs. Non-members and outside organizations are eligible for this award.

Special Service Award: Presented for special contributions made in support of Section activities. Non-members and outside organizations are eligible for this award.

Service Anniversary Award: Presented to current members of the Section who have been members of the Society for 30 years or more. After initial recognition of all 30-years-plus members, those members who enter their 30th year will become eligible for this recognition on a yearly basis.
