Welcome to another year of the ASQ Chicago section program/meetings.
Details for our first meeting for 2018 are as follows:

As usual, during the pre-dinner session we will introduce our “member leaders” for 2018. You need to know who they are, the office each holds and who to approach for related information. You may be the next member leader, who knows. Life is as such….

Overview of presentation – Becoming your personal best begins with a go for it approach to life! Gaining clarity, establishing and prioritizing values, developing a determined attitude and embracing change are all required for reaching your full potential and adding value in the workplace.

In this session you will learn…

· How to create a personal vision statement & why establishing values will accelerate your vision
· Why change triggers “internal resistance” and how to overcome it
· The three-step plan for greater personal effectiveness

Dr. William LaFollette has over twenty-five years of experience in delivering quality and organizational excellence programs in the health care, automotive, and telecommunications industries. He is an accomplished leader, strategist, public speaker, teacher, and author. Will serves the American Society for Quality (ASQ) in a variety of leadership roles, the Association for Business Process Management Professionals (ABPMP) Board of Directors as V.P. of Education, Southwest Alliance for Excellence (Regional Baldrige program) Board of Directors and the US TAG 279 building education and certification programs, developing professional collaborative teams, leading execution of global quality and innovation initiatives and implementation of global strategic solutions.

Will holds a Doctor of Business Administration, a MS in Quality Management, is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Certified Quality Engineer.

“Gift of Knowledge Transfer Leveraging Technology”


This presentation will focus on gift   of   knowledge   transfer   leveraging   technology  for creating an Ecosystem for World-Class Quality in India through Leadership Excellence Series (LES). Since December 2013, an effort is underway to share life-long transferable soft skills and quality management  knowledge to professionals/students/faculty/staff at various educational institutions in India. We will explore the use of free Google Hangout On Air for knowledge transfer. Successful case studies of knowledge transfer in non-profits (educational) and for-profits (corporate) domains will be shared. So far over 40 educational institutes with over 130,000 students/faculty/staff/professionals have benefitted from the LES Project. This is one way to contribute time and talent in Nation Building.

voraDr. Manu Vora  is  Chairman  and  President  of  Business  Excellence,  Inc.,  a  global quality management consulting firm in USA. He has over 40 years of leadership experience in guiding Fortune 500 companies with Baldrige Performance Excellence Award assessment. For over 22 years as an Adjunct Faculty he has taught Operations Management courses at various business schools world-wide. He is connected with over 70 educational institutions globally. He is a Past Vice President of ASQ, ASQ Fellow, and Certified Quality Engineer. Manu has B.S (IIT BHU, 1968), M.S. (1970) and Ph.D (1975). in Chemical Engineering from IIT Chicago, and MBA (1985) with Marketing Management.
